Unforgettable

Can you imagine remembering every detail of your life?  The good and the bad!  I can't begin to fathom how hard that might be.
This condition is called highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM)

A new TV show on CBS is called
Unforgettable and is about a NY cop starring Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells who has HSAM and uses it to help solve murders.
CBS.com

It's a pretty good show and I enjoy watching it.  I must admit it makes me think about remembering everything and really how hard that would be to handle.

Marilu Henner, the actress, has HSAM and is the consultant on the TV show.
TV Guide.com
She did a 60 Minutes interview and you can read an interesting report on her HERE.  Only six people in the world are known to have HSAM.
Marilu suspects her 15 year old son has it but is too young to be tested.

So for Miss Jenny's Alphabe-Thur
U is for Unforgettable!

Linda

  1. Thanks for sharing. I don't think we have that show in Australia yet, might take a couple of years.

  2. Unreal! I'll have to go check the link and watch the shows. My mom's twin brother had photogenic memory. He died in a car accident at 22....what a loss.

  3. I am not sure I would like to be able to remember everything. There are enough cringe-worthy moments in my life that come back to me unbidden as it is. But, then of course, there are so many wonderful memories that make up for those! Great U post.

  6. fascinating!
There was a National Geographic article on this not too long ago. --a woman who could remember every single detail of every day of her life.
In a slightly related subject...I wrote a post which included a bit about Daniel Tammet who is an autistic savant with an amazing memory. Here it is: Pi
