M is for Murder

I love to read!
Some of my favorite books are Mysteries!
Murder Mysteries!

I have been reading some series lately that are called
Food Mysteries!
Two of my favorite authors are
Joanne Fluke and Diane Mott Davidson
Joanne writes about Hannah Swenson who runs a business called The Cookie Jar.  Of course through no fault of her own she keeps finding dead bodies!
So of course she feels like she must help solve the mystery!  These are fun and lighthearted and have the best cookie recipes in each book!

I have read all but Cinnamon Roll Murder due out in March!  I took most of this series to my Mom and she has enjoyed these easy to read mysteries!

The other author Diane Mott Davidson writez about the quirky caterer Goldy who also seems to have a problem with murder following her around!  Lots of fun watching her get involved in solving the crimes and cooking some delicious food as well!
Of course there are recipes in each book!

I've read all of these and enjoyed them all!

So if you enjoy a fun food based murder be sure to check out these two authors.  There are many more but these two are my favorites!

I'm joining Jenny for Alphabe-Thur for the letter

Viewing My World,

  1. I was looking at your books at a book club I belong to! I can get lots of best sellers and new reads for $9.95. No shipping! Just $9.95 each! I love it!
I think the books all sound like a lot of great reading! Thanks for sharing!
Come visit me soon! Always nice to see you here! Hugs Anne

  2. I love Fluke's books. I do wish she would pick a guy to marry.

  3. Something new I'll have to look into...sounds fun!

  4. Hi Linda,

I have never heard of food based murder mysteries. Guess I am living a sheltered life. I do love true crime though. Thank you for sharing your books with us.

  5. I love light foodie novels, so I will have to look for these!

  6. Sometimes I think i'm murdering myself with what I eat...heehee... just kidding. Those sound interesting. I've never heard of food murder mysteries before.

  7. What a great list to pick from! Makes me hungry!!

    1. I used to be an avid reader of Diane Mott Davidson, but stopped reading at Prime Cut. I then got into the Janet Evanovich series. I should revisit the series. I remember liking Goldy!

  8. I'm going to have to look for the newest Diane Mott Davidson - I loved her early books.

  9. These are great books...

I don't like it when the Author gets too graphic so these are just my speed...

Marvelous post for the letter "M"!

    Thanks for linking.
