I think most of us have been experiencing some strange weather so far this month
Here in my neck of the woods its been pretty darn warm for January. Some days of rain and sun and today I notice this...
Green and yellow in the side yard behind the tree
Today these made me smile but then I wonder
When March comes....will I see any more
Of these???
Jonquils in January?
*also called Daffodils but I needed the J today*

Oh Linda - as beautiful as they are - and they are beautiful - I just wonder if we are going to get socked this March or April??? My gas and electric bills are to dream for. sandie
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! I noticed some green sprigs on mine, but no blooms yet.
ReplyDeleteWe have them popping up all over South Carolina.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to see my daffodils open soon, but it will a few months yet. Thanks for sharing your little sunshine flowers.
ReplyDeleteI really miss spring bulbs here in Tucson.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty hardy, though, so if there is a cold snap, I think they will survive. I buy them at the grocery store. I love the fragrance! Great photos!
lovely. we won't see anything like that until June...if we're lucky!
ReplyDeleteGreat *J* post – unfortunately we can't grow jonquils here in S Spain! :-(
ReplyDeleteLook forward to *seeing* you again soon!
Have a great Alphabe-Thursday
I never knew jonquils and daffodils were the same!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it has been a strange year for weather...
=)
I like your take on J, Linda! I haven't seen as much as a jonquil leaf pushing its way through the earth yet, and we usually have blooms by mid-February. They'd better get growing!
ReplyDeleteWe have had extremely warm eather for January too...
ReplyDeleteI know, I know your probably thinking it's always warm in AZ but last year it was pretty chilly out in January...
Thanks for linking to the letter "J" and here's hoping for a sudden cool down before Spring(or Summer in my case) actually arrives...
Great job...
